Happy 2025!! It is hard to believe but another year is here. Next month, we will be starting our 38th year in business serving thousands of students over the years. We wanted to wish everyone a healthy and productive New Year and thank you for trusting us with your children and working together with us to making positive changes with them.

The fires in L.A. have been so traumatic for everyone. Hoping for full containment of the fires soon. We had to close school for 2 days last week based on this event, and we are expecting that the state will see this as the emergency it was and will not make us add 2 additional days to our calendar, but we will keep everyone posted.

I hope everyone had a nice holiday season. It was wonderful having three weeks off!

Monday is Martin Luther King’s birthday and school will be closed. Because of the fires, we have decided to extend this semester by 1 week and our last day of the semester will be Friday, 1/31. We are proud to be having 3 students graduate from Dubnoff on that day and possibly two from Hawthorne Academy. Graduating from H.S. is a huge feat, and we are so proud of all of them.

Our minimum days are usually the last Thursday of the month. This is true for January, and we will have a minimum day on Thursday, 1/30, and students will be leaving at 12 p.m. We will also be closed On Monday, February 17th, for Presidents’ Day.

It continues to amaze and delight me to see the positive changes our students can make. We have an amazing, dedicated team who always do their best to assist, encourage, and educate our students. We are so fortunate to have such an amazing staff who are so patient, caring, and dedicated. Congratulations to our staff who have been with us the longest:

¡¡Feliz 2025!! Es difícil de creer, pero otro año está aquí. El próximo mes, comenzaremos nuestro 38º año en el negocio sirviendo a miles de estudiantes a lo largo de los años. Queríamos desearles a todos un Año Nuevo saludable y productivo y gracias por confiar en nosotros con sus hijos y trabajar juntos con nosotros para hacer cambios positivos con ellos.

Los incendios en Los Ángeles han sido muy traumáticos para todos. Con la esperanza de que pronto se logre la contención total de los incendios. Tuvimos que cerrar la escuela durante 2 días la semana pasada debido a este evento, y esperamos que el estado vea esto como la emergencia que fue y no nos haga agregar 2 días adicionales a nuestro calendario, pero mantendremos a todos informados.

Espero que todos hayan tenido unas buenas fiestas. ¡Fue maravilloso tener tres semanas de descanso!

El lunes es el cumpleaños de Martin Luther King y la escuela estará cerrada. Debido a los incendios, hemos decidido extender este semestre por 1 semana y nuestro último día del semestre será el viernes 31/1. Estamos orgullosos de tener 3 estudiantes que se graduaron de Dubnoff ese día y posiblemente dos de la Academia Hawthorne. Graduarse de H.S. es una gran hazaña, y estamos muy orgullosos de todos ellos.

Nuestros días mínimos suelen ser el último jueves de cada mes. Esto es cierto para enero, y tendremos un día mínimo el jueves 30/1, y los estudiantes saldrán a las 12 p.m. También estaremos cerrados el lunes 17 de febrero por el Día de los Presidentes.

Continúa sorprendiéndome y deleitándome ver los cambios positivos que nuestros estudiantes son capaces de hacer. Contamos con un increíble equipo dedicado que siempre hace todo lo posible para ayudar, alentar y educar a nuestros estudiantes. Somos muy afortunados de tener un personal tan increíble que es tan paciente, atento y dedicado. Enhorabuena a nuestro personal que más tiempo lleva con nosotros:
